Usually, 10% THD is used for speaker amplifiers as a worse case condition. and the output voltage swing is measured in RMS value. [答:Harry] In more complex systems that employ baseband protocol such as frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) or Direct Digital Spread Spectrum (DDSS), we have baseband chipsets such as the SA5250. Encryption may be done at the modulation level using various schemes such as CVSD (Continuous Variable Slope Delta) modulation. [答:Harry] Usually, an audio amplifier functions with better THD at lower power. There is a power output level or range where THD is minimal in any amplifier. [答:Harry] The power output of an analog audio amplifier is exactly equal to the square of the RMS output voltage divided by the load resistance. When the output voltage swing is less linear (i.e. THD is worse or higher), the RMS ouput level must be measured directly with a true RMS meter or o-scope. The datasheets for the TDA854x family of audio amplifiers have design examples to help in calculating the power output and other key parameters.  [2005-6-28 11:08:37]

The size of the heat sink depends on many factors such as, ambient temperature, power dissipation, output power, load resistance, and so forth. [答:Harry] Analog versus digital synthesizers refer to the output signal. The digital synthesizers provide clock outputs that are square wave forms. The important parameter here is jitter. The analog synthesizers provide very linear sinewave outputs for VCO and low phase noise frequency sources for wireless transceiver.
